Shaner of Glasgow who was Miss Mary Cathrine (sic) Quillen of Fairfield, died at her home at 5:30 o'clock this morning. Death was due to apoplexy and she had been ill only three days. Mrs. Shaner was the duaghter of Mrs. Martha Quillen and the late J. W. Quillen. She was born in Fairfield Dec. 24, 1874. Eight years ago she was married to Ira Shaner and has lived ever since in Glasgow except last year when the family resided in Lockridge. Besides the husband four children, Harry, Luther J. , Grace and the six months old baby Edgar , are left to mourn her loss. The mother, Mrs. Martha Quillen, as well as Elmer and Luther Quillen and Mrs. Ed. Herman of Fairfield and Charles W. Vuillen (sic. ??) of Mt. Pleasant also survive. Mrs. Shaner was a woman of lovable disposition and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. She was a member of the Methodist church. The funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Friday from the home of her mother Mrs. Martha Quillen. Dr. Thomas Osborn will have charge and burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
