Quillen, former resident of Fairfield for many years, died at the Brown Nursing home in Des Moines last night. He had been an invalid for the past three years. Funeral services will be held at the Hoskins funeral home here tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Burial is to be at Evergreen cemetery. The Rev. S. P. Williamson will be in charge. Mr. Quillen, who lived in Fairfield most of his lifetime until six years ago, was a painter by trade. He was born in this city March 28, 1871 and was 78 years old at the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles W. Quillen, Mt. Pleasant; and a sister, Mrs. Kathryn (sic) Shaner of Glasgow. He is survived by his widow, Myrtle, also an invalid, and a step-daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Gettys of Des Moines.
