Mrs. Mary E Moore, wife of Samuel R Moore, died at her husband's residence, on Kerr's Creek in this county, of pneumonia, on Saturday last, the 13th inst. She was sick but about one week. She was a daughter of the late John C Laird, dec'd, was in the prime of life, a devoted wife and mother, and a most consistent and exemplary Christian lady. She leaves four small children, all of whom have lately been sick, and the youngest a babe of four months, yet in a very critical condition. We tender to this afflicted and bereaved family our sincere and heartfelt sympathy. - Lexingtn Gazette. Her monument says: MARY ELIZABETH LAIRD Wife of Samuel R Moore Died Jan. 13, 1883, In the 33year of her age.
