Description	:	Mrs.Mary Elizabeth Parker, daughter of John and Dorothy (Coons)Mark was born April 21,1864 near Attica and died at Collins Memorial hospital in Knoxville, Tuesday, May 18, 1943 age 79 years and 27 days. She had had a stroke four years go, and had partially recovered from that but owing to her advanced age was very feeble, and when on May second she fell and fractured her right hip, she was to weak to stand the shock. About 60 years ago she was united in Marriage to Oscar Freeman Parker who proceeded her in death April 27, 1929.... Two dying in infancy, Charles died in mine accident in 1907, two sons William and John were lost in the First World War and another son Jessie , died in 1936. Those surviving are Mrs. Maude Chambers, Oskaloosa, Iowa: Mrs. May Desantes, Frankfort, Heights, Ill; Mrs. May Brown of Des Moines, Earl and Alford Parker and Mrs. Leona Mefford of Bussey, and Dorothy Parker of Oskaloosa. She also leaves one brother John Mark, and one sister. Minnie Cathcart, of Kansas, 27 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and many other relatives. Early in life she united with the Attica Methodist church. She lived her entire life in Attica neighborhood where se was well known and loved. Funeral services will be conducted at Attica Methodist church Friday at 2:00 by the Rev. Marvin Pigg, pastor of the First Christian church of Knoxville. Interments will be in Indiana Chapel Cemetery.
