Whiting, who had both of her arms, badly cut by a saw in her husband's saw mill on Bridger creek last week, passed away at six o;clock this morning. Mrs. Whiting was brought to this place last Saturday so that she oud have daily medical attention. Monday the fact was apparent to the attending physicians that the only chance of saving her life lay in the removal of her right arm. This member of thereupon amputated just above the elbow. Blood poison set in and she lay in a dangerous condition until death came, suffering terribly in the meanwhile. The furneral will take place from the Bliss residentce, across from the depot, tomorrow morrning at ten o'clock. Rev. Ash of Deer Creek will preach the funeral sermon. The remains will be buried in the local cemetery. Mrs. Whiting was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Thompson who reside near Greycliff. She was born in Jackson county, Mich., in 1862 and in 1881 she was wedded to James H.. Whiting. A year later they moved to Montana and for the past fourteen years have resided on Bridger creek where they conducted a small store. She is survived by a husband; a daughter aged five years; a father and mother one sister, Mrs R. Roth who resdies in Alberta, and One brother Fred Thomplson who is a resident of this county. A large circle of friends deeply regret the sad accident which caused the death of Mrs. Whiting, and sympathize sincerelyy with the bereaved family in their loss.
