Thomas, 85, died Wednesday at the Mrs. W. R. Snyder nursing home. A pioneer resident of Nebraska, Mrs. Thomas had lived in this state for 50 years. She is survived by two sons, George Vogt of Scottsbluff and Cless Vogt, whose address is unknown, and four daughters, Mrs. Cora Bone and Mrs. Ralph Brown of Fullerton, Mrs. Carrie Applegate of Long Beach, California and Mrs. Ollie Kuhlson of Grand Island. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Thursday of last week with the pastor, Rev. R. Staniforth in charge. Burial was made in the Fullerton cemetery. ''''''''''' p. 3, col. 3 Mary E. Thomas was born at Marion, Ohio, on Nov. 19, 1853 and passed away July 13, 1938 aged 85 years. On May 13, 1873 she was united in marriage to Jacob Vogt at Brazil, Indiana. Later they made their home in Iowa, then moving to Nebraska in which state she had lived for fifty years. To this union were born eight children: four sons and four daughters. They are Mrs. Carrie Applegate of Long Beach, California, Mrs. Cora Bone and Mrs. Lula Brown of Fullerton, Mrs. Ollie Kuhlson of Grand Island, Nebraska and George Vogt of Scottsbluffs, Nebr., and Cless Vogt, whose address is unknown. Mr. Vogt preceded her in death in the year 1893 and two sons Robert of Fullerton and Charles of Los Angeles, California also preceded her in death. Some years later she was married to Manford Thomas, who also preceded her in death a number of years ago. Besides her children who are left to mourn her passing there are a number of relatives, among them being 32 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren, all of whom are living. Mrs. Thomas was a member of the Fullerton Methodist church and her funeral rites were held in this church on Thursday July 14, 1938, the pastor Rev. R. Staniforth being in charge.
