Mary Emma Porter, daughter of Joseph and Anna Catrell Porter, was born Sept. 10, 1903, in Soldier. She married Orville Housley in Cottonwood Falls on Dec. 30, 1925, and he survives. Also surviving is a son, Orville Housley Jr., of Lee's Summit, Mo.; a daughter, Mary Schaefer, 1109 Luther St;, five grandchildren, Phillip L. and Allan K. Housley, Marylin J. Moser, and Charles L. and Jay Lee Schaefer, and one great-grandson. One son, Richard, four brothers and one sister, died earlier. The funeral will be Thursday at 2 P.M. in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. The services at the funeral home and those in Maplewood Cemetery will be conducted by the Rev. Richard A. Waldron and the Rev. Ron C. Carter. Memorial contributions to the Lyon County Chapter of American Cancer Society may be sent in care of the funeral home.
