FRED ELSE Mrs. Jospehine Mary Cady, one of the aged residents of the community near Guss, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Else, eleven miles southeast of Villisca, Thursday of last week at about one o’clock. FRED ELSE Mrs. Jospehine Mary Cady, one of the aged residents of the community near Guss, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Else, eleven miles southeast of Villisca, Thursday of last week at about one o’clock. The immediate cause of her death is not known. Old age infirmities, however, are suppose to have caused the brief illness that terminated her death. The deceased was seventy four years, five months, and seventeen days of age at the time of her death. Stephen Cady, the husband died in September of 1914. The children who survive are Mrs. Fred Else of near Guss; Ed Cady of Galva, Illinois; Warner Cady of Nodaway; Mrs. Christina Weil of Stence, Colorado; Mrs. Emma Mulligan of Settle, Washington; Mrs. Laura Tyler of Corning. One child died in infancy. Mrs. Weil and Mrs. Mulligan were the children who were unable to attend the funeral services which were held Monday afternoon at one o’clock at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Else. Rev Doyle of Nodaway church conducted the sermon. The body was interred in the Villisca Cemetery. Villisca Review, Wednesday, November 29, 1916, page 1
