Redmond Dies Suddenly The people of Miller was shocked Monday afternoon to learn that Mrs. Percy Redmond had passed away at her home. Death was caused by a heart attack. She had been apparently in good health, and had just opened the door to admit a visitor when she collapsed and died. Leah McMahon was born at Emery, South Dakota, January 8, 1896, and came to Hand county with her parents over 30 years ago. She was the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. McMahon. She attended the Miller schools and also took a course I a business college at Aberdeen. June 29, 1922 she was married to Percy A Redmond, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.T. Redmod. One son was born to them, who died in infancy. Mrs. Redmond was a lady of fine character, and her relatives have the sincere sympathy of their friends and neighbors in their sudden bereavement. She is survived by her husband, her aged father and four brothers. The brothers are: A. D. McMahon, of Miller; Dan, of Woonsocket; Glen, of Brookings, and Lawler, of Bakersville, California. He mother died about a year ago. Funeral services were held at the Catholic church in this city, Wednesday morning, Rev. Father J. J. Hyland officiating. Interment was made in the G. A. R. cemetery.
