Mary Jordan was born October 5, 1928 in Sidney, Iowa, the daughter of John William Jordan and Fern Eva Otte. She grew up in Sidney where she attended grade school and graduated from Sidney High School in 1945. She married Cecil Junior Pierce, December 4, 1948 in Sidney. Read More	Mary Louise Jordan Pierce 73, of Valley, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Mary Jordan was born October 5, 1928 in Sidney, Iowa, the daughter of John William Jordan and Fern Eva Otte. She grew up in Sidney where she attended grade school and graduated from Sidney High School in 1945. She married Cecil Junior Pierce, December 4, 1948 in Sidney. They raised their family in Sidney until the early 1950s when they moved to Valley. She worked at an insurance company before she was married but after she moved to Valley, she worked at Valley Alleys for many years in many different capacities. She was a 61 year member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors include two sons, Tony and wife City and John and wife Jane, all of Valley; a sister, Irene (Mrs. Paul) Row of Omaha; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m Friday at Reichmuth Funeral Home in Elkhorn. The Rev. Russ Thompkins will officiate. Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m Thursday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Prospect Hill Cemetery in Elkhorn.
