Death followed a lingering illness of five months. She had accepted Christ as her Saviour and was a faithful member of the West Union Mennonite Church until death. She passed away eighteen days after her husband. Besides their 3 children, she is survived by 3 brothers (John, Elmer, and Ernest), a sister (Mrs. Kores Kinsinger), 16 grandchildren, 3 stepgrandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She was loyally devoted to her husband during his long illness. As a mother and grandmother, her absence will be greatly felt. The funeral was held at the West Union Church, with Milton Brackbill preaching and Paul T. Guengerich assisting. Burial was made in the West Union Cemetery.
