Description	:	Mary Rebecca Follon, 89, of Volga, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at the Central Community Hospital in Elkader, Iowa, following a brief illness. She was born January 9, 1920, in Wadena, to Ira and Mary (Yearous) Moore. Becky graduated from Volga High School in 1937. She was united in marriage to Oliver Follon on June 27, 1939, at the Volga United Methodist Church. Five children were born to this union. Read More	Mary Rebecca Follon, 89, of Volga, died Sunday, March 29, 2009, at the Central Community Hospital in Elkader, Iowa, following a brief illness. She was born January 9, 1920, in Wadena, to Ira and Mary (Yearous) Moore. Becky graduated from Volga High School in 1937. She was united in marriage to Oliver Follon on June 27, 1939, at the Volga United Methodist Church. Five children were born to this union. Becky has been a member of the Volga United Methodist Church for nearly 80 years. She loved her church and served it faithfully for all those years by teaching Sunday school, Bible School, singing in the choir, and serving as the President of the United Methodist Women. Becky spent 50 years serving as the Library Director in Volga. Working at the library was a labor of love because of her passion for reading and for her commitment to making books available to everyone in the community. She was a wonderful friend to many. Becky spent her life gardening, bird watching, cooking, baking, and caring for her family. All of us will miss her tea rings, noodles, and pies. Survivors include four children; James (Karen) Follon, Omaha, NE, Elaine Follon, Volga, Mark (Pam) Follon, Valders, WI, Craig (Tracy) Follon, Volga; three granddaughters, Jamie (Rick) Welsh, Stacey (Anthony) Porpora, Tara Follon; two step-grandsons, Chas (fiancé Darcey Baumann) Dodge and Seth Dodge; four great-grandchildren, John Welsh, Carolyn Welsh, Rebecca Welsh, James Porpora; two step-great-grandchildren, Callie Ann Dodge and Landon Bauuman; one sister, Ethel Borden, Sanborn, IA, her beloved cat, Kringle, and many nieces and nephews. Becky was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oliver; one daughter, Sue Ellen Follon; one sister, Evelyn Bruns; four brothers, Bill Moore, Ira "Bud" Moore, Ronald "Red" Moore, and J.S. Moore.
