Born February 7, 1933 in Ridge, MD, she was the daughter of the late Captain William "Taft" Tippett, Sr. and Mary Ethel (Unkle) Tippett. Read More	My Mama Mary Rose Turner, 76, of Lexington Park, MD died February 23, 2009 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Two months to the day of being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Born February 7, 1933 in Ridge, MD, she was the daughter of the late Captain William "Taft" Tippett, Sr. and Mary Ethel (Unkle) Tippett. Rose was the owner of the night club, Rose's Place II in Lexington Park, MD. Rose was an avid collector and loved spending time with her children and reading her bible. She loved her children deeply and there was nothing she wouldn't do for them Her children worshipped her. She had a very kind and generous heart to everyone. A infectious smile and an incredible sense of humor. She is survived by loving children; Eddie Hefner (Linda) and Linda Sue Hefner of Canton, GA, Nancy Ann Balta (John) of Lexington Park, MD and Bobbi Jo Magee (L.P. Mercure) of St. Mary's City, MD. Her ex-husband, John Frederick (Tex) Turner As well as her loving grandchildren; Joseph M. Unick, Jeffrey S. Long, Angela R. Callander (Marvin), Michele L. Hurley (Tim), David Hefner, Brandon E. Carter, Christy R. Stephenson (Shane), Lindsay N. Cochran (Josh) and Jessica L. Balta Also surviving are fifteen great-grandchildren. And her beloved siblings; Marjorie Ann McKim (Howard) of York, PA, Lawrence Douglas "Captain Lou" Tippett (Betty) of Ridge, MD, Alberta Marie Sullivan (Charlie) of Ridge, MD, Grace Pamela Traas of Piney Point, MD, John Francis Tippett, Sr. of Hagerstown, MD and Alice Rita Cooper (Eddie) of Ridge, MD, twelve nieces and nephews, and sister in law, Rita Tippett of Mannheim, Germany. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Taft "Bill" Tippett, Jr., great-granddaughter, Mackenzie G. Callander, brother in law, Robert Traas and nephew, Billy Cooper. Relatives and friends are invited to Rose's Life Celebration in St. Michael's Catholic Church, 16555 Three Notch Road, Ridge, MD 20680 on Thursday, February 26, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Prayers will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 27, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. with Monsignor Maurice O'Connell as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Joseph Unick, Jeffrey Long, Marvin Callander, Tim Hurley, Shane Stephenson and Josh Cochran.
