Description	:	Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Kramer Lutheran church for Mathias Steuer, 80, a long-time resident of the Kramer community. Mr. Steuer was born September 10, 1873 in Gols, Austria and came to the United States in June 1882. He was confirmed at St. John's on April 3, 1887 by Rev. L. Huber. He was wed April 26, 1896 to Miss Anna Schlichtemeier. Five children were born to the union. The Steuers farmed three miles southeast of Kramer for many years. Since 1936 they have lived in Kramer. Read More	Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Kramer Lutheran church for Mathias Steuer, 80, a long-time resident of the Kramer community. Mr. Steuer was born September 10, 1873 in Gols, Austria and came to the United States in June 1882. He was confirmed at St. John's on April 3, 1887 by Rev. L. Huber. He was wed April 26, 1896 to Miss Anna Schlichtemeier. Five children were born to the union. The Steuers farmed three miles southeast of Kramer for many years. Since 1936 they have lived in Kramer. They observed their golden wedding anniversary on April 26, 1946. Mr. Steuer died at his home in Kramer early Saturday morning. For many years he was a precinct assessor in Lancaster County. Survivors include his wife, Anna; one son, Frank of Crete; four daughters, Mrs. Kathryn Fangmeier of Denver; Mrs. Carolyn Portsche of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Evelyn Grasz of Kramer; and Mrs. Cora Henning of Hallam; one brother, George of Lincoln; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
