Description	:	Funeral services for Mathilda Weszner, 92 of Ashley were held at 2 PM Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church in Ashley. The Rev. Jeff Giles officiated. Burial will be in the Zion 11 Lutheran Cemetery rural Ashley with Carlsen Funeral Home of Ashley in charge of arrangements. This is the area where she grew up and attended country school in the Beresina District. She helped on the family farm. She married Fred Weszner on June 14, 1931 near Ashley. They made their home on his farm a half mile from her family homestead. They raised small grains and livestock. They farmed until 1958 when they moved into Ashley. He died Jan. 23, 1986. She continued to make her home in Ashley. She entered the Ashley Nursing Home in 1998. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, embroidery and quilting. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Ashley, Senior Citizens Center and German Circle. She was a past member of Zion 11 Lutheran church rural Ashley. Survivors include on son J.F. (Freddie) Leona Weszner of Ashley, one daughter, Frances (Marvin) Hoffman of Ashley, one sister Mary Schneider of Ashley, four grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Her parents, her husband, one son, three brothers and one sister preceded her in death. Casketbearers were Matt Schock and Harold Schlenker both of Ashley, Terry Weszner of Bismarck, Greg Dollinger of Pingree, ND, Clifford Bertsch of Oakes, ND and Paul Joerger of Ardmore, Oklahoma.
