The greatest of all Physicians saw fit to relieve her of earthly cares and awarded her eternal rest. Peacefully and quietly she slipped from this life into that great beyond, prepared for those who love Him. Maude Angela was the last survivor of a family of nine children. March 1, 1900, she was married to William A Turnbull, who had prepared their home on his farm near Bookwalter. Here they reared their family of six children; Marjorie Lantz, Burchard; Willard of Vicksburg, Miss; Mina Preston of Omaha; Howard of Lincoln; Wade of Tulsa and Harold of Vallejo, Calif. She professed her faith in Christ early life. She was a member of Bookwalter Methodist church until 1934, at which time the family moved to Lincoln. She transferred her membership to Grace Methodist church and remained a faithful member until her death. She was a member of Chapter 148 O E S; Past Matrons Club and Navy Mothers of Lincoln. She was active in her church and W S C S; also in community and civic affairs. She was helpful and sympathetic as a friend and neighbor. Her wealth of experience gave her sunset years a serenity and dignity becoming those who follow His teachings. Her life was truly an inspiration to her children who loved her most. Her husband, William A passed away Feb 14, 1948. She leaves her six children, four daughters-in-law and two son-in-law; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and hosts of friends.
