Description	:	Maude Nelson, age 82, of Kenmare, died Saturday, March 14, at a Kenmare Hospital. Her funeral was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Faith Baptist Church of Kenmare with burial in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, north of Kenmare. Officiating was Rev. Donald Fisher, organist was Mrs. Dorothy Carlson, and Bud Carlson performed. Casketbearers included Dennis Nelson, Larry nelson, Daniel Nelson, Warren Duerre, Michael Biron and Orlan Nelson. She was married to Arndt Lund in 1930 and they lived at Edson before moving to Norma where she served as postmistress for a number of years. He died in 1936 and she returned to teaching while operating a dress shop in Kenmare where she made her home. She then married Otto E. Nelson at Kenmare on Dec. 26, 1955 and she retired from teaching at that time. He died in August of 1975 and she had remained in Kenmare. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and the Ladies Mission Society at Kenmare. She was a member of the Village Homemakers and the Kenmare Garden Club and the "L" Chapter of PEO. She is survived by her son, Paul Lund of St. Paul, MN; step-son, LeRoy Nelson of Kenmare; step-daughters, Marlys Leet of Minot, and Carol Skalman of Wadena, MN; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Carlos O'Fallon.
