Description	:	Mildred Von Seggern The funeral for Mildred G. (Mrs. Emil) Von Seggern, 91, of Scribner will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Hooper. She died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at Good Samaritan Center in Scribner. She was born Jan. 24, 1915, in Scribner to Herman and Hermine (Kottmann) Meyer. She had been a Scribner area resident all her life. She attended school district 35 through the eighth grade and then attended Scribner High School. (Mrs. Emil) Von Seggern, 91, of Scribner will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Hooper. She died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2007, at Good Samaritan Center in Scribner. She was born Jan. 24, 1915, in Scribner to Herman and Hermine (Kottmann) Meyer. She had been a Scribner area resident all her life. She attended school district 35 through the eighth grade and then attended Scribner High School. She married Emil Von Seggern on March 2, 1938, north of Hooper. They farmed in the Scribner area all their working years. They retired into Scribner in late 1969. Her husband preceded her in death June 18, 1990. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Hooper, and its Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. She also was a quilter there. She was active singing in the choir and teaching Sunday school. Survivors include: two daughters, Marlene (and husband, Gene) Hilbers of Hooper and Cheryl (and husband, Mark) Meyerink of Scribner; a son, Gene "Poncho" (and wife, Susie) Von Seggern of Hooper; a sister, Arlene (and husband, LaVere) Dierking of Scribner; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by a brother. Vicar Judy Johnson will officiate Saturday's service. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery. Memorials have been established to Scribner Rescue Squad and St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
