Robert Pier, assisted by the Rev. Kenneth Christensen, officiating. Burial was in Mr. Hope Cemetery at Scotia. Mrs. Cargill died Dec. 5, 1973 at her ranch home north of Scotia. Mildred Irene Mohler Cargill was born Oct. 12, 1910 in Monroe to Foster J. and Blanche Baker Mohler. At the age of four she moved with her parents to a farm north of Greeley. She attended grade school at Rose Hill District #34 in Freeman Valley and graduated from Greeley Public High School with honors. After her high school graduation she taught country schools in Greeley County and attended summer sessions at Kearney, Chadron and the University of Nebraska. The last two years of her teaching career was spent in a rural high school in the Parnell precinct. On May 20, 1936 she was united in marriage to Perry Cargill of Scotia. Their entire married life was lived on a ranch near Scotia. During her active years she participated in many school, community and church activities. She was a member of the Scotia Baptist Church. Survivors are her husband Perry; one daughter; three sons; one grandson; one brother and one sister. She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter.
