Description	:	Mrs. Mildred Dandridge entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 31, 2009. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services at 2:00 Tuesday, February 3, 2009 at the Parker-Rhoden funeral Home, 117 Paul Street, in Walterboro. Burial will follow at the Ackerman Cemetery at Red Oak in Cottageville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services. Mildred was born in Greenwood County, SC on July 6, 1920, the daughter of Ida Bishop Ackerman and Kenneth Leon Ackerman. She attended Memminger High School in Charleston before graduating from Cottageville High School. She also attended Winthrop College. Mildred was a Cub Scout Den Mother, and a member of Cottageville United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, and was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mildred was also the bookkeeper for her husband's business, and prepared tax returns for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Mood Dandridge, her parents, and three siblings. Surviving are two sons, Robert Ernest Dandridge, and his wife Faye, of Charleston, and Kenneth Ackerman Dandridge, and his wife Shelly, of Mt. Pleasant; four grandchildren, Andrea Dandridge Ulmer, Michael Willis Dandridge, Keri Dandridge Powell, and Amy Dandridge McMullen. There are nine great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Cottageville United Methodist Church, 44 Pierce Road, P.O.B. 68, Cottageville, SC 29435. Published in the Charleston Post & Courier on 2/2/2009
