Description	:	LE MARS, Iowa -- Mildred O. Laudenschlager, 91, of Le Mars passed away Friday, Nov. 26, 2004, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars, with the Rev. Gary Landsness officiating. Burial will be in Union Creek Cemetery, West Akron, Iowa. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with the family present 5 to 7 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Mildred O. Laudenschlager was born Dec. 6, 1912, in Union County, S.D., to Emery and Adele (Ahrens) Klemme. She attended Sayles and Mount Hope Schools. On Sept. 19, 1934, she and Ernest Meske were united in marriage at Trinity Lutheran Church in Akron, Iowa by the Rev. Fred Meske. The couple farmed in Plymouth County, Iowa and Union County, S.D. She attended Union Creek Lutheran Church in West Akron, Iowa. She was actively involved with the church council, Sunday School, Missions and WELCA. Ernest passed away in 1963. On Nov. 15, 1975, she married Leonard Laudenschlager in Oakland, Neb. The couple made their home in Oakland until Leonard passed away in 1993. She then moved to Le Mars to be closer to her family. She attended St. John's Lutheran Church and participated in WELCA. She has been a resident of Brentwood Good Samaritan in Le Mars for the past three months. She enjoyed visiting, spending time with her family and playing almost any card game. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Vanita Meske of Custer, S.D., and Yvonne and her husband, Don Law of Le Mars; five grandchildren and their spouses, Mark and Cindy Olson of Akron, Iowa, Julie and David Bock of West Jordan, Utah, Teresa and John Birkley of Bronson, Iowa, Sherri and Permes Permeswaran of Le Mars and Lori and Doug Heil of Mobridge, S.D.; 10 great-grandchildren, Ashley and Amanda Olson, Mindy Bock, Craig and Andrea Luesebrink, Vijay, Palani and Yashila Permeswaran and Katie and Joey Heil; her sisters, Betty Athens and Verla Mae Jacobs; her brothers, Daryl Klemme, Dale Klemme and Kenneth Klemme; and two sisters-in-law, Marge and her husband, Vic Scholten of Sheldon, Iowa, and Deloris Meske of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Ernest and Leonard; two sisters, Velma Groon and Ida Muth; and three brothers, Howard Willms, Louis Willms and Marvin Klemme.
