She was also organist at the Amanda Presbyterian Church for many years. She married Frederick J. She was a lifelong member of Lancaster Church of the United Brethren in Christ. She was a school teacher and later became office manager for Lancaster Hospital. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Strohm and Carolyn Smeck, both of Lancaster; son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Aileen Solt of Longmont, Colo.; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; and nieces, Rose Beck Hare of Florida and Barbara Ford Spohn of Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Howard F. Solt (1996); parents, John D. and Rosetta Cave Van Gundy; and sisters, Esther Cavanaugh, Gladys Cave and Kathleen Van Gundy. Funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Monday at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home, with the Rev. Henry Cadwell officiating. Burial will be at Amanda Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions be made in her memory to Hospice of Fairfield County.
