Description	:	Linnie Jane Walter, daughter of James and Mary Molesworth, was born in Lucas County, Iowa, February 13, 1870, and passed away May 9, 1966, at the Senior Citizen Home, Franklin, at the age of 96 years/2 months/26 days. She came with her parents to Smith County, Kansas, in 1880. On November 30, 1887, she married Asma Walter. They settled on a farm he had homesteaded, enduring all the hardships of pioneer life. Read More	Linnie Jane Walter, daughter of James and Mary Molesworth, was born in Lucas County, Iowa, February 13, 1870, and passed away May 9, 1966, at the Senior Citizen Home, Franklin, at the age of 96 years/2 months/26 days. She came with her parents to Smith County, Kansas, in 1880. On November 30, 1887, she married Asma Walter. They settled on a farm he had homesteaded, enduring all the hardships of pioneer life. To this union, six children were born. October 1911, her husband passed away, and she continued to live on the farm until April 1923, when she moved to Franklin, where she has resided since. She was converted at an early age and united with the United Missionary Church (formally known as the Mennonite Brethren in Christ) at Reamsville. She suffered a fractured hip February 21, 1964, from which she never fully recovered. She was a kind and loving mother, a friend to all, thinking not of herself. She leaves to mourn her departure five daughters and one son; two sons in law; a daughter in law, ten grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, three brothers, two sons in law, and two grandsons. Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday, May 11, 1966, at 2 pm from the Hutchins Funeral Home with Rev. Charles F Gray officiating, with interment in the Greenwood Cemetery at Franklin.
