Description	:	MRS. MINERVA JANE ROLSTON Mrs. Minerva Jane Ralston, for thirty vied years a resident of Nodaway, died February 21, 1928 in Portland, Oregon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. P. Kensinger. She was 84 years of age. Margaret Jane Watts was born September 1, 1843 in Highland County, Ohio and was married to Hugh Ralston on October 17, 1866. They lived in Highland County, Ohio until 1880 when they came to Nodaway to reside. Her husband, daughter Elizabeth Gets, and her only son, Thomas Samuel preceded her in death. MINERVA JANE ROLSTON Mrs. Minerva Jane Ralston, for thirty vied years a resident of Nodaway, died February 21, 1928 in Portland, Oregon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. F. P. Kensinger. She was 84 years of age. Margaret Jane Watts was born September 1, 1843 in Highland County, Ohio and was married to Hugh Ralston on October 17, 1866. They lived in Highland County, Ohio until 1880 when they came to Nodaway to reside. Her husband, daughter Elizabeth Gets, and her only son, Thomas Samuel preceded her in death. Mrs. Rolston lived in Nodaway until 1915 when she went to Portland to make her home with her daughter, She wa an active member of the Presbyterian Church since her youth, and for many years she was a member of the Relief Corps. She is the last of a family of eight children and is survived by her six daughters. They are Mrs. M. E. Down, Mrs. C. J. Johnson, Mrs. F. P. Kensinger, Portland, Oregon; Mrs. O. G. Parks, Los Angeles; Mrs. O. W. Starr, Nodaway, and MRs. B. J. Gibson, Des Moines. There are also six grandchildren. The body arrived in Nodaway Monday on No. 4 and was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Starr, where it remained until the funeral which was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Presbyterian Church in Nodaway. The sining was by Mr. and Mrs. Roy B. Means and Mr. and Mrs. Forrest L. Means, with Mrs. C. N. Kennedy at the piano. Interment was in the Nodaway Cemetery. Villisca Review, Friday, March 2, 1928, page 5
