Description	:	Funeral services for Minnie Belle Anson were held Wednesday, January 25, 1967 at 2:00 p.m. from the Wolfe Funeral Home with the Rev. George S. Snyder officiating. The organist, Mrs. Mabel Dunn, accompanied the soloist, Mrs. Carolyn Harries, in the vocal selections, “In The Garden.” Flower bearers were Mrs. C. W. VanValkenburg and Mrs. George Carmichael. Casket bearers included Wade Scholey, Willis Marvick, George Carmichael, Richard Thompson, Joe Lauber, and Ex Lauber. Interment was in the Villisca Cemetery. Minnie Belle Wilson, daughter of Harvey and Margaret Sterns Wilson, was born on August 16, 1882 at Villisca, Iowa and passed away at the Murphy Memorial Hospital on Sunday, January 22, 1967, at the age of 84 years. Minnie grew to womanhood in the Villisca Community and taught school for several years prior to her marriage. On March 16, 1903, she was united in marriage to Seymour E. Anson at Villisca. To this union two children were born. Except for the 1911, when the family lived in Clearmont, Missouri and 1915 when they lived in Mexico, New York, they always resided in Villisca. In her youth she united with the Methodist she joined the Villisca Christian Church, where her husband was a member. After the Christian Church burned, she attended the Villisca Methodist Church, where she was a charter member of the Woman’s Society of Christian Service. Mrs. Anson was also a member of the DAR. She maintained her own apartment in Villisca until October 29, 1966, when she was admitted to tMurphy Memorial Hospital. On November 145, she was improved enough to move to the Good Samaritan Rest Center in Red Oak, where she remained until January 14. Mrs. Anson was preceded in death by her husband and is survived by one son, Manford Anson of Salem, Oregon; one daughter, Mr. Lucille Hale of Knoxville, Iowa, and three grandchildren, Barry, Sandra, and Danny Anson, all of Salem, Oregon; besides niece, nephews and many friends.
