Warner and children, of Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania; Rev. John Hayes, Mr. and Mrs. James Hayes and children, and Mr. and Mrs. Brian Bowers. Nineteen were present for dinner on Tuesday. From the Frederick News of Saturday, August 13, 1949: "Mrs. Minnie Hays, a patient at the Anne M. Warner Hospital, celebrated her seventy-seventh birthday anniversary on Tuesday. A large birthday cake was presented her by the family, and relatives and friends called during the day at the hospital to wish Mrs. Hays many happy returns." Obituary for Minnie Etta Fox Hays from the Frederick Post, Monday, November 7, 1955: "MRS. MINNIE E. HAYS. Mrs. Minnie Etta Hays, 83, widow of Thomas C. Hays and well-known resident of Emmitsburg, died at her home there Saturday morning at 9:15 o'clock. A native of Westminster, she was a daughter of the late Jeremiah Calvin and Sarah Lucinda Forney Fox. Mrs. Hays was an active member of the Emmitsburg Presbyterian Church, where she was organist for about 25 years. She was also a member of the Mite Society. Surviving are five sons, James T., Emmitsburg; William E., Boston, Mass.; Harry W., Detroit; Rev. John R., Mansfield, Pa.; Samuel C. Hays, Emmitsburg; a daughter, Mrs. Margaret H. Warner, Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock in the EmmitsburgPresbyterian Church with Rev. Gideon Galambos officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Emmitsburg, S. L. Allison, funeraldirector." Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Etta Hays, 83, who died Saturday morning at 9:18 o'clock at her home in Emmitsburg, will be held this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the Emmitsburg Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Gideon Galambos officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Emmitsburg. Mrs. Hays was the wife of the late Thomas C. Hays and was a native of Westminster, a daughter of the late Jeremiah Calvin and Sarah (Forney) Fox. She had served as organist at the church for 25 years. She was bedfast for the last year. Surviving are five sons, James T. Hays, Emmitsburg; William E. Hays, Boston; Harry W. Hays, Detroit; Rev. John R. Hays, Mansfield, Pennsylvania, and Samuel C.
