Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the Hanson farm home a mile south and a half mile west of the Garfield township hall at 1:30 and at 2:00 at the Rockfield Lutheran church by Rev. A. V. Neve. Burial will be made in the Rockfield cemetery. Minnie Robertson Hanson was born on her parents' homestead in Garfield township, October 26, 1886. She was educated in the public school in that district and on March 16, 1906 was united in marriage to Mr. Hanson at the Rockfield church. Soon after their marriage, she and her husband went to Lincoln, Nebraska, where they lived for about a year on a farm, returning to Beresford and later going onto the place where she died. Mrs. Hanson was the mother of four children, all of whom survive her. They are Mrs. Roy Duncan and Mrs. Harold Gamberg, of Beresford; LeRoy Hanson, who lives at home, and Miss Viola Hanson, of San Diego, California, who arrived here from the west coast Wednesday, a few hours after her mother had passed away. Beside these, Mrs. Hanson leaves her husband, one brother, Andrew Robertson of Sisseton, and two sisters, Mrs. P. A. Rasmussen of Beresford and Mrs. Henry Christenson, of Vermillion. LeRoy Hansen and his father were both ill with influenza when Mrs. Hanson was taken sick. LeRoy was able to leave his bed Saturday but Mr. Hanson is still quite ill at his home.
