Coan, 83, of 758 Race Street, who had been ill several years, died at 4 a.m. Wednesday in his home. Born April 6, 1875 in Wabash County, he was the son of Thomas T. and Rosanna (Wildoner) Coan. He was married in 1904 to Amelia Tholke who died in 1933. Mr. Coan was later married to Mrs. Luella Brown who survives. Born April 6, 1875 in Wabash County, he was the son of Thomas T. and Rosanna (Wildoner) Coan. He was married in 1904 to Amelia Tholke who died in 1933. Mr. Coan was later married to Mrs. Luella Brown who survives. The decedent, who spent most of his lifetime in Wabash County, was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodges. Survivors include the widow, one son, Ralph Coan, Louisville, Ky., five step-sons, Ollie P. Brown, Robert Brown and Carl Brown, all of Wabash, and Bert and Gilbert Brown, both of Fort Wayne; three step-daughters, Mrs. Domer Layton, Wabash, Mrs. Harley Gruwell, South Whitley, and Mrs. Charles Heeter, Antioch, Ill.; one brother, Charles Coan, Wabash; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. One daughter, one sister and two brothers preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Edingfield Mortuary with the Rev. William Nangle officiating. #Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
