Description	:	Funeral services for Monsieur Triplett were held last Saturday at 2:30 at Bramer's Funeral Home with the Rev. W.B. Wilson of Grinnell in charge of the services. Miss Thursia Manatt provided organ music. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Walter Clayton, Wallace Edelen, Glenn Read, Harry Tinker, R.V. Keller and Roy Read. Mr. Triplett's sudden death occurred Thursday, June 7 in the home of his daughter near Brooklyn, Mrs. Paul Patten. He had always been in good health and had worked some in the garden shortly before his death, which was caused by a heart attack. He was 79 years old. Monsieur D. Triplett, son of Luther and Celia Ann Triplett, was born in Bureau county, Ill., on Jan. 6, 1866 and passed away June 7, 1945. In 1871, when he was five years old, he moved with his family to Brooklyn. Practically all of his remaining years were spent in Poweshiek county, the greater part in the Madison community where he farmed. On August 29, 1894 he married Florence Hess. His wife preceded him in death many years ago. In 1910 he became a member of the Madison Christian church, in the fellowship of which he remained to the end. Mr. Triplett was active in all enterprises that had as their object the general welfare of the entire community. He is survived by the following four daughters: Mrs. Rose Patten of Brooklyn, Mrs. Ruth Harrison and Mrs. Blanche Holland, both of Des Moines and Mrs. Eva Lang of Glendale, Calif. Also surviving him are seven grandchildren, one great grandson, and a brother, Aquilla Triplett of Amarillo, Tex.
