Brown all of Inman, V.H. Brown of Glendale, J.B. Brown of Inman, route 3, B.B. Brown of Slater. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren also survive. Brown Morris Augustus Moore Brown, 80, died at the residence at Inman last night. He is survived by his wife, and seven sons, M.C., G.W., T.M., and S.M. Brown all of Inman, V.H. Brown of Glendale, J.B. Brown of Inman, route 3, B.B. Brown of Slater. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren also survive. Mr. Brown, a retired farmer, was born and reared in Spartanburg County and had lived for the past 25 years in and around Inman. He had been a member of the Holly Springs church for many years. Funeral services will be conducted at the Pacolet Station Baptist church at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Further arrangements will be announced from the M.W. Bobo funeral chapel. TEXT OF OBITUARY: (January 18, 1939) RITES TODAY FOR M.A.M. BROWN Funeral Services for Retired Farmer Planned at Pacolet Church Funeral services for Morris Augustus Moore Brown, 80, well known retired farmer who died at his home at Inman Monday night, will be conducted at 2 o'clock this afternoon by the Rev. J.E. Lehman, the Rev. H.E. Bullington, and the Rev. W.Y. Henderson at the Pacolet Station Baptist church. Interment will be in the Pacolet Methodist church cemetery. The following grandsons will serve as active pallbearers: Lawrence Brown, Edward Brown, Harold Brown, Marshall Brown, Ellis Brown, Edgar Brown, Lindsay Brown and Jesse Lee. The following have been asked to meet at the Pacolet Baptist church at 1:45 o'clock Wednesday and compose the honorary escort: W.W. Murph, Paul Murph, J.F. Thompson, J.K. Foster, J.T. Morrow, W.A. Knox, Alf Sprouse, Dr. George Thompson, J.W. Foster, Dr. W.W. Painter, M.W. Bobo, Sr., Claud R. Gowan, Dr. S.J. Morrow, Dr. C.J. Miller, Dr. W.H. Orr, J.E. Bishop, W.A. Baughcome, I.N. Morgan, N.J. McGinnis and Albert Clement. He is survived by his wife, and seven sons, M.C., G.W., T.M., and S.M. Brown all of Inman, V.H. Brown of Glendale, J.B. Brown of Inman, route 3, B.B. Brown of Slater. Twenty-nine grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren also survive.
