Description	:	Myrtle Aniksdal Corder passed away June 20, 2013, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family in Edmonds, Wash. She was born and raised in Butte. As a young woman, she married Harry Ness. They had four children together and later divorced. Myrtle had a love for all animals — especially horses. Bud died in 1999. She later moved to Edmonds,... Read More	Myrtle Aniksdal Corder passed away June 20, 2013, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family in Edmonds, Wash. She was born and raised in Butte. As a young woman, she married Harry Ness. They had four children together and later divorced. Myrtle had a love for all animals — especially horses. She was a member of the Petticoat Patrol for years. In 1976, she married her true soul mate, Carl "Bud" Corder. She retired and lived and worked on their ranch in Little Basin Creek in Butte. Bud died in 1999. She later moved to Edmonds, where she loved and enjoyed the beautiful area. She volunteered at the Edmonds Senior Center where she met many good friends. Myrtle treasured her time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Bud" Corder; parents, Arne and Lois Aniksdal; sister, Hazel Mayo; nephew, Kerry Hansen; and niece, Debbie Mayo. We cannot forget her very special dogs, Casey, and weeks prior to her own passing, Newman. She is survived by her children, Garry (Lorrie) Ness, Jerry (Cathy) Ness, Janene (Joe) Merzlak and Gaylene (Jim) Fisher. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Cholette Ness, Holly (Travis) Matthews, Jay Merzlak, Justin Fisher, (Ashley) Josh (MC) Merzlak, Carrie Fisher, Megan Ness and great-grandchildren, Jake and Andrew Zapata, Brook and Kate Matthews. Also surviving are her sister, Shirley (Gene) Hansen; brother, Alan (Lynn) Aniksdal; and several nephews and nieces. We also would like to mention special lifelong friends, Edith Miller and Beverly LaPalm, both of Butte. A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at Mountain View United Methodist Church, 301 N. Montana St., Butte.
