NANCY CULVER Mrs. Nancy Culver passed to her eternal rest on December 3, 1929, at the age of 88 years and 11 months. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Ralph C. McKray, were held at the Bethel church in Cedar township on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Bethel cemetery. NANCY CULVER Mrs. Nancy Culver passed to her eternal rest on December 3, 1929, at the age of 88 years and 11 months. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Ralph C. Nancy Elizabeth Sellers was born in Putnam county, Indiana, in the year 1840. At the age of fourteen years she came with her parents to Lucas county, Iowa, and resided in this vicinity until her death. In 1862 she was united in marriage to Mr. James A. Culver. To this union eight children were born, six of whom preceded her in death. Her husband passed away in 1899. Two sons are left to mourn their loss. They are George Culver of Illinois and Fred Culver of Idaho. She is also survived by five brothers, Wm. H. Sellers, of Chariton, J. P. Sellers, of Benton township, T. A. Sellers, of Cedar township, N. N. Sellers, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, and W. W. Sellers, of the state of Washington. A number of other relatives and friends are also left in bereavement. During her long residence in this county Mrs. Culver had won the esteem and admiration of all with whom she came in contact by her many fine traits of character, and had lived an exemplary life.
