Description	:	Stratford Courier November 19, 1908 Mrs. W.R. Cayler passed away at her home west of Stratford, November 10, 1908, after an illness of over then months duration. The first of this year she was taken sick and later on passed through an operation with hopes of securing a permanent recovery, but the disease could not be subdued and she finally fell asleep in the arms of the Saviour. Cayler passed away at her home west of Stratford, November 10, 1908, after an illness of over then months duration. The first of this year she was taken sick and later on passed through an operation with hopes of securing a permanent recovery, but the disease could not be subdued and she finally fell asleep in the arms of the Saviour. Jennie Burgess was born at Bowling Green, Clay County, Indiana, Aug. 20, 1846. She was united in marriage to William R. Cayler February 7, 1866. To their union were born thirteen children, one of whom has preceded the mother to the great beyond. About ten years ago they moved to Stratford, where she resided until her death, she being 62 years, 2 months and 21 days old. She leaves a husband, six sons and six daughters besides numerous relatives and friends to mourn her demise. She was never united with any church but was a strong believer in Jesus Christ. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at the residence and at the M.E. church, conducted by Rev. J.L. DeWitt and the remains were laid to rest in the Oakwood Cemetery.
