She had been in declining health for the past few years. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the Hemingway Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Reginald Thackston, pastor, the Rev. Enoch Finklea, the Rev. E. G. Beckman, and the Rev. C. H. Beard. Burial, directed by the Morris Funeral Home, will follow in the Old Johnsonville Cemetery. Mrs. Spivey was a daughter of the late Lampkin Lambert and Madie McNamee Lambert, early settlers of Hemingway, where she was born July 15, 1916. She attended Hemingway public schools and spent her entire life here, where she was a member of the Hemingway Methodist Church and a member of the church choir. Pallbearers will be Ben W. Lambert, Carl Lambert, Carroll M. Eaddy, Keith Baker, Dave Simmons, and Joe McAlister. Surviving, besides her husband, are five sisters, Mrs. M. E. Scurry of Miami, Fla., Mrs. Viva Lynch of Hemingway, Mrs. Zola Sharpless of Charleston, Mrs. H. G. Senseney Jr. of Florence and Mrs. William Harvey of Texarkana, Ark.; two brothers, Roy Lambert of Hemingway and Harvey Lambert of Augusta, Ga. Also a large number of nieces and nephews.
