Description	:	The death of Mrs. U. D. Smith on Wednesday, July 3, 1912, of kidney trouble and complications, at her home in this city, was mentioned in this paper last week. Nellie Beatrice Biddlecome was born at Baldwin, Jackson County, IA, November 18, 1880, and at the time of her death was 31 years, 7 months and 15 days of age. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Biddlecome, who had previously lived in Akron before locating in Baldwin, returned here the year following her birth. Smith on Wednesday, July 3, 1912, of kidney trouble and complications, at her home in this city, was mentioned in this paper last week. Nellie Beatrice Biddlecome was born at Baldwin, Jackson County, IA, November 18, 1880, and at the time of her death was 31 years, 7 months and 15 days of age. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Biddlecome, who had previously lived in Akron before locating in Baldwin, returned here the year following her birth. Akron has since been her home, except for about two years she spent in Duluth and St. Paul, Minn. She married U. D. Smith, of this city, December 14, 1909, who, together with her mother, Mrs. Mary A. Biddlecome, of Long Beach, Cal., and one brother, Clair J. Biddlecome, of Sioux City, mourn her untimely taking away, and to these bereaved ones the community offers its condolence. The deceased was a young woman whose sweetness of disposition, helpfulness, patience and charity endeared her to all her acquaintances, whose sorrow is mingled with the grief of those nearer and dearer to her. Symbols of esteem and respect were beautiful floral offerings from the Royal Neighbors lodge, the Eagles lodge, the Birthday club, the management and employees of Nolen's laundry, Sioux City, and by many individual friends. The funeral, conducted by Rev. D. K. Hurley in the Church of St. Patrick Monday morning at 10 o'clock, was largely attended. Interment was made in the Biddlecome family lot in Riverside cemetery. Relatives of deceased who came from a distance were: Her mother, Mrs. Mary A. Biddlecome, of Long Beach, Cal.; her brother, Clair Biddlecome, and wife, of Sioux City; her aunt, Mrs. Peter Bohlen, of Duluth, Minn.; her cousin, Mrs. R. S. Butler, of Virginia, Minn.; her sister-in-law, Mrs. Wm. Boden, of Tyndall, S. D.
