Description	:	BELL, NELLIE MARIE—Nellie Marie Churchill Bell was born to Walter and Gepha Fox Churchill on January 24, 1901, at Geneva. She passed away at her home in Geneva on Sunday, September 6, 1992, at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 12 days. She was the third daughter of ten children born in the family. Nellie attended rural school district through the eighth grade and graduated from the Geneva High School with the Class of 1920. She was married to Lawrence A. Nellie attended rural school district through the eighth grade and graduated from the Geneva High School with the Class of 1920. She was married to Lawrence A. Bell on March 11, 1939, and to them one child, Vicki, was born. Nellie was a member of the United Brethren Church, later affiliating with the United Methodist Church, where she recently received her 75 year pin for membership. She was most active in Church activities and taught Sunday school for many years. Her other memberships included WWI Auxiliary Post 2118, American legion Auxiliary Post 68 and V.F.W. Post 7102 Auxiliary. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence, on April 30, 1968; and by brothers, Elmer, Harvey and Lindell. She is survived by her daughter, Vicki Kelch and husband, Marvin; brothers, Wayne Churchill, and Donald Churchill; sisters, Marguerite Guster, Elsie Clinkenbeard, Stella Churchill, and Bessie Breckerbaumer. Also surviving are grandchildren, Jeff, Jon and Jamie; great-granddaughters, Shane, Elishia and Caitlin, and one great-grandson, Jeffery. Funeral services were conducted from the Farmer and Son Funeral Home in Geneva on Thursday, September 10, with Rev. Stanley Rider officiating. Special musical selections were “The Old Rugged Cross” and “Precious Moments.” Pallbearers were George I. Cruse, Marlin Domeier, Raymon Grough, Herman L. Larsen, Donald Larson and Charles H. Miller.
