Description	:	In Memory: With Love to Mom and Dad Noel G. Raper married Marie Ruby December 24, 1927, at the home of her parents, John and Ida Ruby, in Greenfield. His father, the Rev. Bernard Raper, officiated. They farmed in the Fontanelle and Greenfield areas until March 1934, when they moved to Greenfield. They were the parents of nine children, three girls and six boys, Phyllis Lane, Deloris Carns, Dick, John "Jack", Ernest, Jerry, Karen Long, Clifford "Dan' and Keith. Bernard Raper, officiated. They farmed in the Fontanelle and Greenfield areas until March 1934, when they moved to Greenfield. They were the parents of nine children, three girls and six boys, Phyllis Lane, Deloris Carns, Dick, John "Jack", Ernest, Jerry, Karen Long, Clifford "Dan' and Keith. After graduating from Greenfield High School with the class of 1925, Noel attended Des Moines University. He worked as a bookkeeper, truck driver and policeman. Marie also graduated from Greenfield High School in 1927. She worked at a dress shop, cafes, chicken pickery and noodle factory. She enjoyed writing poems and has two books of her poems printed. She loved entertaining and through the years gave many of her humorous readings and poems to groups and clubs. Her great love was her family. She always said, "With a large family there is never a dull moment." Death took Noel on May 21, 1976, and Marie on February 23, 1994. They are both buried at the Canby Cemetery.
