Read More	paper and date unknown Obituary of Mrs Nora Nellie Leeson Nora Nellie Sund was born August 15, 1902 on a farm near Burr Oak, Kansas, to Fred and Minnie (Williams) Sund. She was the fourth of six children. One brother preceded her in death. She passed away in the quietness of the early morning on August 13th at the University hospital at Omaha. Everything that loving hands could do was done but her Master bade her come to be with Him where worries and cares are no more. She was married to John Edward Leeson, August 25th, 1923 at Mankato, Kansas, and to this union were born two daughters and one son, Ada Mae Jensen of Edgar, Kathrine Irene Owens of Superior and Vaden Leeson of Superior. She also leaves to mourn her passing, two sons-in-law, Alvin Jensen and Hurbert Owens, seven grandchildren; her parents; two brothers and two sisters, William Sund of Hastings, Oscar Sund of Guide Rock, Lena Smith of Superior and Clona Purcell of Red Cloud; one sister-in-law; 16 nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Superior was her home most of her life after leaving the farm with her parents when a young girl, also after her marriage. "Though you were with us but a few short years, your memory will always be sweet and we hope to meet you on those distant shores as we, too, travel down the road of no-return." Services were conducted from the McGrue and Denny Funeral Home on Monday afternoon, August 16, 1954, by the Rev Crandall of the Superior Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Superior cemetery. Pallbearers were her nephews- Wm Sund of Lexington, Bobby Sund of Hastings, Elden Purcell of Hastings, Geo. Sund of Bostwick, and Richard Sund of Guide rock. Illa Million furnished the music.
