Internment is pending at Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. Mrs. Haggstrom was born in Howard County, Nebraska, on March 6, 1920, the first child of Edward L. and Mary Bartunek Kolar. She was raised on the family farm. She attended school and earned her eighth grade diploma from School District #56 on May 20, 1933. Internment is pending at Hillside Cemetery in Wolbach. Mrs. Haggstrom was born in Howard County, Nebraska, on March 6, 1920, the first child of Edward L. and Mary Bartunek Kolar. She was raised on the family farm. She attended school and earned her eighth grade diploma from School District #56 on May 20, 1933. She especially enjoyed 4-H, entering much of her work at the Nebraska State Fairs. She eventually earned a trip to Washington, D. C. as a delegate to the National 4-H Club Camp with three other Nebraska youth in 1941. Later that year she was united in marriage to Wilbur Leonard Haggstrom, also of Howard County, Nebraska, in Alhambra, California. Leaving California in 1946, the couple lived n Sterling, Colorado before moving to Westminster, Colorado, finally settling in Wheat Ridge, Colorado where she lived the remainder of her life. Mrs. Haggstrom celebrated her 90th birthday in 2010, surrounded by family and friends in Wheat Ridge. She is survived by Mary and Bruce Hall of Cotopaxi, Colorado, Ardyce and Don Buckmaster of Boise, Idaho, John and Cheryl Haggstrom of Golden, Colorado, Don and Anita Haggstrom of Pasadena, California; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and cousins.
