Mr. Miller died Friday, April 13, 2007, at his home. He was born Oct. 5, 1932, in Lawrence, the son of Jonas and Alta Burchett Miller. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Miller died Friday, April 13, 2007, at his home. He was born Oct. 5, 1932, in Lawrence, the son of Jonas and Alta Burchett Miller. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Miller owned and operated Pod's Discount Carpet for many years. He married Peggy Keefer on Feb. 3, 1952, in Lawrence. She survives, of the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Vickie Smith, Tonganoxie, and Debbie Ritchie and husband Doug, Boxford, Mass.; a son, Darren Miller and wife Pam, Lawrence; and three grandchildren, Scott Ritchie and Shannon and Sarah Smith.
