Almos Havre--Norman Sherwood Almos, 40, Butte, former Havre resident and son of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Almos, Havre, died Sunday at a Butte hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gold Hill Lutheran Church in Butte. Almos was born Jan. 12, 1916, at Rudyard. He was graduated from Hingham High School in 1934 and attended Northern Montana College. He was employed by the F. A. Buttrey Co. before moving to Butte in 1937. Almos Havre--Norman Sherwood Almos, 40, Butte, former Havre resident and son of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Almos, Havre, died Sunday at a Butte hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Gold Hill Lutheran Church in Butte. Almos was born Jan. 12, 1916, at Rudyard. He was graduated from Hingham High School in 1934 and attended Northern Montana College. He was employed by the F. A. Buttrey Co. before moving to Butte in 1937. In Butte he had been employed by the Newbro Drug Co. and Intermountain Lines. From 1942 to 1944, during World War II, he served with the medics in the Pacific. He was a member of the Gold Hill Lutheran Church and served as Sunday School superintendent, trustee and deacon for many years. He was a member of the Elks Lodge at Butte and of the Elks committee that secured the iron lung for Silver Bow county. He was married in Jan. 1948, to Virginia Frankovich, who survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Sandra Jeanne, 8; a son, Kenneth Norman, 5; two foster daughters, Linda, 13, and June, 15; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Almos, Havre; and five sisters, Mrs. Burton Ophus and Mrs. Wallace Rathbone, both of Havre; Mrs. William Broderick, Midland, Texas; Mrs. Allen Johannesen, Vancouver, B.
