She passed away November 17, 1973, at the Nuckolls County Hospital in Superior, Nebraska, at the age of 88. On September 3, 1907, she was married to Frank Leroy Nelson at Nelson. To this union were born one son and three daughters. Mr. Nelson passed away on August 23, 1965. Mrs. Nelson was baptized at Guide Rock at the age of 13 and has been a member of the Nelson Christian Church for many years. She has lived in and around Nelson since coming to this area at the age of 5. She worked on the farm with her husband and then in the Swift Creamery for 37 years. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survivors include her children, Madalene Graham of Superior, Duane Nelson of Cupertino, California, Phyllis Nelson of Fullerton, California and Donna Montgomery of Greeley, Colorado; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday, November 20, 1973 at 2:30 p.m. from the Klawitter Funeral Home, Nelson, with Pastor Victor Schwarz of the Nelson Christian Church and Pastor Albert Kleinsasser of the Superior Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
