OLIVE LEONE MOSER Olive Leone Moser, 90, of DuBois, Nebraska, entered her eternal life on Wednesday, June 13, 20012 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Olive was born on April 15, 1911 in Bern, Kansas to John and Louise (Hertzig) Hatch. Olive graduated from Bern High School in May 1940. On December 21, 1940 she married Arthur Junior Moser and moved to Summerfield, Kansas where they farmed until Art was called to serve his country. Upon returning in 1945, they moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where Olive spent the next 30 years raising their 8 children. In 1975, with an empty nest, she went to work at Clinton school preparing meals for the students. In 1981 they bought a house in DuBois, Nebraska only a few miles from where she grew up. In 2003 Art passed away and Olive continued to live in the same house until May 21 of this year. In her lifetime, Ollie enjoyed gardening, cards, fishing, Scrabble, cooking, rides in the country and her family. Many afternoons, you could find her in her garden pulling "those damn weeds". Ollie was a good wife, wonderful mother and a loving grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Ollie enjoyed a long life and gave unconditional love everyday. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed. Olive was preceded in death by her husband Art, mother ands father, four brothers, five sisters and a son-in-law Jesse Ross. Left to cherish her memory are all eight children; 26 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren; and one sister. Funeral services were Monday, June 18, 2012 at the United Methodist Church, DuBois, Nebraska, with Pastor Alan Gager officiating. Music was provided by organist Carolyn Yoble. Interment was in the DuBois Cemetery, DuBois, Nebraska. (Pawnee Republican June 21, 2012.)
