History of Reno County Vol II, page 757 ****************************************** BODY WILL BE BROUGHT TO WICHITA, RITES, HOWEVER FOR OLIVER FRANNCIS BARR TO BE HELD AT HUTCHINSON TODAY. Funeral services for Oliver F. Barr, 86, who died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eugene F. Dealy, northwest of Hutchinson, will be held 1:30pm today at the chapel of Johnson and Sons Mortuary, Hutchinson. Pallbearers will be Earl Holt, Fred Kruger, Glen Hamms, John Dealy, George Beason and Arthur Lancaster. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery Mausoleum, Wichita, beside his wife who died in 1916. Mr. Barr was born in Indiana but came to Kansas as a young man. He farmed for a time in Chase County, but spent most of 30yrs. in Buhler community, Reno County. Survivors include three sons, Dr. Charles F. Barr of Wichita, Dr. Walter G. Barr of Oklahoma City and Everett R. Barr of Emporia; four daughters, Mrs. Eugene Dealy of Hutchinson, Mrs. John F. Bergen of Inman, Mrs. H.W. Spencer of Emporia and Mrs. B.W. Hopkins of Emporia.
