Horsey, well known and popular Crisfield resident, died suddenly in the Cambridge Hospital early Tuesday morning, of a heart attack. Horsey, well known and popular Crisfield resident, died suddenly in the Cambridge Hospital early Tuesday morning, of a heart attack. He had been a patient in the hospital in Cambridge for about a year, and he was nearing his 65th birthday. Mr. Horsey was the son of the late Isaac P. and Ida M. Tawes Horsey, who were members of old and prominent Somerset county families. He was born and reared here and spent most of his life in the community. He was associated with the Bank of Crisfield for many years, but retired some years ago. Mr. Horsey was interested in sports, especially gunning for wild fowl and upland game, and was a crack shot. He was popular in the community, a man who made friends easily and held them. For the past several years he had been in ill health, although he was active up to the time of his death. Funeral services were held yesterday, Thursday morning, at 10:30 o'clock, in the Bradshaw Funeral Parlors, and were conducted by Dr. J. Yancey Fincher, pastor of the Marion Baptist Church. Interment was in the family lot in the Crisfield cemetery. Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Ruth Richardson Horsey, one daughter, Baroness Idella Seutter von Loetzen, and two grandchildren, Otto and Toni, all of whom now are residing at the Herberstein Castle in Austria. Bearers were John Daniels, Thomas C. Blades, Sr., Sidney 0. Landon, Jr., Dan Pasquella, Willie Sterling and Francis Hayman of Princess Anne. The Crisfield Times, August 21, 1953 pgs.1&4
