Description	:	Ora A. Robbins, son of Ferdinand F. and Mary M. Tabor Robbins was born January 2, 1876. He passed away at the Moore Nursing Home in Fairmont, September 16, 1968, at the age of 92 years, 8 months and 14 days. He was born on the farm in West Blue township where he lived all of his life, with the exception of one year when he was in the jewelry business in Fairmont. Tabor Robbins was born January 2, 1876. He passed away at the Moore Nursing Home in Fairmont, September 16, 1968, at the age of 92 years, 8 months and 14 days. He was born on the farm in West Blue township where he lived all of his life, with the exception of one year when he was in the jewelry business in Fairmont. He attended the rural public school and remembered the Blizzard of 1888. He was married to Berneice Nichols of Fairmont, August 30, 1905. To this union two daughters were born, Florence and Hazel. He became a member of the Fairmont Methodist church, September 4, 1904, and participated in many of its activities. He had charge of the remodeling of the sanctuary several years ago. He received a 60-year Odd Fellow membership Jewel, having joined Hesperian Lodge No. 42 of Fairmont, January 22, 1904. He was also a member of Star Rebekah Lodge No. 8. He served as a member of the school board in District 11, 33 years. He had a great interest in civic affairs, serving on the election board for many years. Voting was held in his home after the rural schools in the township closed. He was one of the true pioneers and shared in the development of rural Nebraska. He built all of the buildings on his farm, which reveals his versatile abilities. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Hazel in January, 1936; by his wife on November 18, 1961; boy one brother, who passed away in infancy and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Avery. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Everett (Florence) Nichols; two grandsons, Gene and Marvin Nichols and wife Marilyn; and two great-grandchildren, Beth and Scott Nichols, all of Fairmont; several nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services were conducted from Grace United Methodist church in Fairmont at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 19. Rev. Paul W. Walker officiating. Oliver Moul sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Mrs. Jerry Galusha was accompanist. Pallbearers were Reuben Ackerman, Harold Dawson, Don Galusha, Jerry Galusha, Harry Kelch and Eldon Opfer. Interment was in the Fairmont cemetery with the Odd Fellow burial service being given by Hesperian lodge.
