Description	:	"Orin O. Freitag, 86 years, of Fremont, NE died peacefully in his home on February 9, 2015. Orin was born September 17, 1928 in Byron, NE to William and Ella (Peters) Freitag. He was raised on their farm near Byron along with four siblings. He graduated from Byron High School and attended two and a half years at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont. Orin is survived by his wife, Deanna; three daughters, Leta Fornoff of Fremont, Shanda Berg and husband, Christopher of Columbia, S.C. and Debra Carstens and husband, Dean of Grand Island, NE. Orin took great pride in his grandchildren, Lauren Fornoff Schroeder and husband, Roy of New Orleans, LA Linden Fornoff of Omaha, Alexa Fornoff Wahl and husband, Tim of Des Moines, IA, Brant Horacek of Pasadena, CA, Blake Horacek of Omaha, Mitch Carstens and wife, Sarah of Des Moines, IA and Sam Carstens and wife, Nicole of Grand Island, NE; and two great grandchildren, Kyren Carstens and Caroline Schroeder; two sisters, Adelene Schlueter and husband, Arlen of Superior, NE and Fern Witke and husband, Gene of Byron, NE; nieces, nephews and good friend, Chris Fornoff of Fremont. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Marvin and Verdell. As per Orin's request, a celebration of his life will be held with his immediate family only. Due to Orin's valiant fight with Parkinson's disease the family asks that any memorials be made to Parkinson's Disease Research and Education Fund." Moser Memorial Chapel, 2170 N.
