Description	:	Mrs. J. M. Bixler, a resident of Adams County for many years, died Wednesday of last week at 11:10 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. George, in Quincy township, Adams County, her death resulting from old age complications. Orpha Rebecca True was born April 11, 1841 in New Cumberland, Ohio, and was 86 years old at her death. Read More	Mrs. J. M. Bixler, a resident of Adams County for many years, died Wednesday of last week at 11:10 a.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. H. George, in Quincy township, Adams County, her death resulting from old age complications. Orpha Rebecca True was born April 11, 1841 in New Cumberland, Ohio, and was 86 years old at her death. She was married to Leonard L. Ray in New Cumberland on January 5, 1861, and to this union four children were born. They are Homer James Ray of Kent, Iowa, Albert T. Ray of Creston, Iowa, Mrs. Joe Aldridge of Villisca, and Mrs. J. H. George of Corning. Her husband and father died on April 5, 1880 and son George of Corning. After the husband died she left by covered wagon for Iowa, taking six weeks for the trip. Mrs. Ray was married to J. M. Bixler of Adams County on February 28, 1882, and to this union two children were born. They are Clyde Bixler of Monticello, Iowa and Mrs. George Hayes of Cumberland, Iowa. The husband and father died December 1, 1924. Besides her children, Mrs. Bixler leaves also two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Albaugh of New Cumberland, Ohio and Mrs. Adia True of Canton, Ohio, and four half brothers, twenty grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Since Mr. Bixler's death, Mrs. Bixler has made her home with her children, and the last few months, she had spent here in the Aldridge home, going to her daughter's home in Adams County the day preceding her death. Mrs. Bixler was a member of the Methodist Church. Her funeral was held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home where she died, with Rev. L. C. Schroeder of the Federated Church of Corning in charge of service. The singing was by Edgar Cupp and the pall bearers were Will Home, J. D. Chan, and Olin McIlravy and Vernon McCoy.
