He died Nov. 14 in the Brodstone Memorial Nuckolls County Hospital at the age of 77 years. He was educated in the Angus Schools. July 22, 1942, he was married to Opal Farver at Salina, Kan. This marriage was blessed with one son and one daughter. He has lived all his life in the Nelson area. For many years he drove a transport for the Paul Littrell Transport Company. After his retirement from driving he was hired as grounds keeper at the Nelson Golf Course. He collected many trophies for his efforts. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Edwin and William. Survivors are his wife, Opal; a son, Jack, Schaumburg, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Ron Kostelny (Mary Ann), Dallas, Texas; one grandson, Jason Stahl; two sisters, Beth Jeppesen of Oregon City, Ore., and Mrs. Ed Bowman (Faye) of Pueblo, Colo.; one brother, Ted Stahl, Pratt, Kan.; and many other relatives. The funeral was Thursday, Nov. 17, at 10 a.m., from the Klawitter-Price Funeral home Chapel, Nelson, with Pastor Jerry Heydenberk officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery, Nelson. Superior Express (Superior, NE), Thursday, November 24, 1988.
