Description	:	Opal Loraine Stahl, daughter of Otto L. and Mary (Baker) Farver, was born September 23, 1916 on a farm near Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away Monday, September 20, 1999, at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 27 days. She passed away Monday, September 20, 1999, at the Good Samaritan Center in Nelson, Nebraska, at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 27 days. Opal attended twelve years of school in Nelson, graduating in 1936. July 22, 1942, She (sic) married Orville Stahl. They had two children, Mary and Jack. She spent most of her life in Nelson. Opal worked several years at the McCord's Grocery Store in Nelson. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Nelson for more than 50 years. She also was a former member of Rebekah Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary. Opal enjoyed fishing with her husband, Orville. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband on November 14, 1988; and four brothers, Earl, Ora, Jesse and Elbert Farver. Survivors include one daughter, Mary Kostelny of Bagdad, Florida; one son, Jack Stahl of Fort Myers, Florida; one grandson, Jason Stahl of Kansas City, Kansas; and one great-grandchild; one sister, Margaret Reed of Nelson; and one brother, Oliver "Pete" Farver of Nelson. Funeral services were held Thursday, September 23, 1999, at 2 p.m., at Klawitter-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Nelson, Nebraska, with Rev. Dr. Ralph Sturdy officiating. Music was solos of "Wings of a Dove" and "Lord, I'm Coming Home" by Ruth Watts. Carlita Price was organist and accompanist. Interment was in Nelson Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill Morehead, Junior Glasson, Lonnie Wheeland, Royce Schott, Ted Madson and Allan Sole. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of the arrangements.
